THE EVENT

How can Sports adequately respond to the evolving demands and capture the attention and time of new generations?

The future of football will be shaped by a combination of technological advances, cultural changes, new forms of consumption, and spectator engagement.

These advances are transforming the sector. New generations tend to prefer faster and more flexible content, opting for condensed formats that allow fans to follow key moments quickly and efficiently.

Consumers are now growing up in digital environments where interactive experiences during broadcasts, such as personalized commentary, different camera angles, or dynamic graphics, are becoming mandatory.

At Football Talks, we aim to showcase the strategies the sports world is adopting and how the sector is adapting to the demands of new generations, offering content and experiences that align with their digital, social, and emotional expectations.

Luigi Carraro has served as President of the International Padel Federation (FIP) since 2018. He is also Vice President of Premier Padel, the leading official international professional Padel tour governed by FIP, which features 25 tournaments in 18 countries and is broadcasted in 230 countries worldwide.
In addition, Carraro sits on the Executive Board of the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation (FITP) and is a Member of the National Council of the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
Under his leadership, the growth of Padel has been remarkable, both in terms of participation and global management. Over the past six years, the number of amateur Padel players has nearly quadrupled—from 8 million in 2018 to 30 million today—and FIP counts now with nearly 90 affiliated National Federations.
Nowadays, Padel is considered the sport with the highest growth trend in the world and indeed one of Carraro’s key ambitions is to see it make its debut at the Olympic Games.
